Circumstances and Demandingness of Traveling in the Time of Jesus: An Analysis of Three Jesus' Journeys

This thesis deals to analyze the three well-known Jesus Christ's routes which are mentioned in the Gospels of the New Testament. The first part of the thesis there is a historical description of the person of Jesus Christ and his humanity. The second part contains a description of selected ways of the Jesus Christ' life. That is an escape to Egypt before Herod the Great. The next one describes the route from Jerusalem via Nazareth to Capernaum. The author of this thesis did a comparison of this path due to the different interpretation of the evangelists. The last chosen path is closing the Jesus' earthly life. It is a stretch of road from the Last Supper to Golgotha hill. The bachelor thesis tries to describe these routes from the physical-geographic difficulty at the time of writing the New Testament. The conclusion of this thesis contains a comparison of the results with the data contained in the New Testament. The Way of the Cross in Bohemia after 1945 This bachelor thesis deals with survey on modern Ways of the Cross created after 1945 in Bohemia. The first part of this thesis is concerned with the development and the history of the Ways of the Cross. The kinds and the forms of the Ways of the Cross are distinguished here as well. This part also contains the summary of several original Czech Calvarias and the Way of the Cross. The following chapter introduces the of the depiction of particular stations and also contains the summary of new Czech Ways of the Cross. RAKO, Jano Koehler and the way of the cross on Svatý Hostýn

The bachelor thesis will focus on the way of the cross on Svatý Hostýn made by RAKO company and designed by Jano Koehler. The author will present a mosaic art in general, the RAKO company and its influence on Czech art culture and Jano Koehler's personality and work. In the core part of thesis, the author will carry out with technological, formal and iconographic analysis of the individual stations of the way of the cross. Another works made in a ceramic mosaic created within a time before or after Svaty Hostyn cycle will be included in next chapters. Furthermore, the author will deal with the problematic of historical preservation and the previous experience with restoration works made up to now. An attachment of visuals will be a part of thesis. Dušan Samuel Jurkovič and his architectural design in the southern and the eastern Moravia

The bachelor thesis "Dušan Samuel Jurkovič and his architectural design in the southern and the eastern Moravia region" follows up the life and works of the Slovak architect, furniture designer and ethnographer Dušan Samuel Jurkovič (1868 - 1947). The first part of the thesis is focused on the architect himself, the second part is dedicated to his work in the Moravia region, especially in Luhačovice, Svatý Hostýn and Pustevny in Beskid Mountains. The third part explains the specialties of Jurkovič's distinctive architecture by examining his own villa in Brno-Žabovřesky. This bachelor thesis includes image attachments. Via crucis and modifications of this thema in visual culture

(ENG) This diploma thesis deals in a complex way with the theme of via crucis, from the kunsthistorical, social cultural and pedagogical point of view, therefore it is a connection of a theoretical study with an exploratory probe and also an art project. It analyses iconography and contexts of particular themes of passion cycle and it shows various appearance and current state of via crucis themselves in the Czech republic. At the same time this part aims to be an inspiration and a theoretical basis for teachers who would decide for the inclusion of a religious theme to the educational process. The thesis also indicates what pedagogical potential does a Christian theme imply in education and what educational aims stated in RVP could be achieved thanks to this theme. The thesis then deals with the theme of via crucis in the educational complex of art lessons and with the possibilities of didactic transformation of a passion story. The suggested and realized theme scheme maps the relationship and opinions of pupils and also the contribution and the difficulties of a religious theme used in educational process. Art Direction Fragments of the Crusade in the Given Region

The diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is consisted of outlining the meaning of The Crusade both from the visual art understanding point of view, as well as spiritual thinking. At the beginning of the thesis there is just briefly described the history and the position of religious in society, view of folksy religiousness and the problematic of The Crusade, it is also pointed to Passion cycle, modern concept of The Crusade and its own Crusade in the conception of Mikuláš Medek and Karel Stádník. The practical part deals with the creation of its own proposal chosen to stop The Crusade, which are subsequently placed in the area of selected locality around Prachatice.
Calvary

The thesis deals with the subject of Christ s journey with the cross. Separate interruptions remind us of the last moment of Jesus suffering on earth. The work begins with the sentencing of Jesus to death and ends with his placing in the tomb. Everything is executed with the technique of slumping glass on plaster forms. The cycle contains fourteen glass reliefs including inscriptions of separate crosses. A possible fixture falls into the interior of a modern church or larger chapel, as well as into the exterior in the likeness of village chapels set up along the so-called The Hill of the Cross. The work is supplemented by a theoretical attachment with thematic description, inspirational sources and technological procedures.

Work is devided into theory and practical part. Theoretical part with the title ``Sacral plastic Arts in Czech painting of 20th century{\crqq} is dealing with chosen particular appearances and forms of plastic arts in the surroundings of Bohemian churches and chapels. The artistic and social limits and possibilities are dealt here in the form of essay. The practical part is made up from six paintings of size 75 x 109 cm. The inspiration was taken with the apocalyptical part of Bible {--} ``St. John{\crq}s Appiration``.
